About the Area
Looking from South to North: a new private development sits on the mountain side featuring estates in Henllys and Ty-canol. The town centre is in the central plain and the areas of Llantarnam, Llanfrechfa, Llanyrafon and Croesyceiliog being over the Afon Lwyd river on the right. To the North is Pontypool and Abergavenny. To the South is the M4 motorway with fast connections to Cardiff and the second Severn Crossing. Cwmbran boasts a mixture of housing - from classic terraced to modern estate homes with one to four bedroom residences. Many ex-Corporation houses are now in private ownership. The Town’s main advantage is its free parking to the major retailing areas with walking access to ASDA, Woolworths, David Evans, Sainsbury. B&Q, Comet, Currys and a host of national and local shop outlets.
